Campers will refine their playing skills while learning how to play together in a band.  At camp, counselors, who are professional musicians and teachers, will rehearse and instruct campers through a set list of music that is selected by both the band and the instructors.  While rehearsing under the patient guidance of our instructors, campers will learn how to play their individual parts, how to play and perform together in the band, and how to manage and promote the band as well.  In addition to rehearsing, campers have the opportunity to learn about other important aspects of music. Campers will spend time in workshops that focus on band development, music appreciation, and music education.  At the culmination of the two week camp at Music Makers NY, campers are given the opportunity to perform on stage at a real NYC venue.
