Teachers & Coordinators
Rob Watson - Coordinator
Bob Elliott put a bass in my hands back in the early 90s and asked me to play. He introduced me to some players and the “Five Songbook to a Room” concept. We met every Monday for a few years and eventually we got better. Bob asked if I was interested in running a jam session at The Studio so I could help beginners just as he had helped me out. Bob offered The Studio rehearsal space as a free practice room for me to grow as a workshop/jam coordinator. In return I put together a few thousand chord charts for The Studio’s Songbook Library. I’ve lost count as to how many people I’ve brought to the stage at The Studio’s Performance Nights. It’s a thrill every time. My musical influences are The Beatles, Moody Blues, Bee Gees, The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Electric Light Orchestra, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Billy Joel, Elton John, A Whiter Shade of Pale, Charles Dickens, Leo Tolstoy, Star Trek, and Cosmology.
